Food safety & hygiene audits
Red Dragon Associates Ltd operates a routine food safety and hygiene audits for some of its clients. The audits are usually performed in conjunction with the clients audit schedule. A senior member of the client's own management team will conduct routine weekly or monthly audits interspersed with audits carried out by a RDA Ltd consultant. Members of the client management team are often trained in the principles of effective food safety and hygiene auditing as part of this programme. All audit reports are presented in written format with suggested corrective actions, responsibility and timescale.
Audits can cover the many areas associated with food and drink manufacturing in todays litigious climate (GMO Audits, Labelling legislation, Nutritional Claims, Glass Audits, Serious Incident Management (SIM) Tests, Supplier Approval Audits - to name but a few!).
Although BRC is now the accepted minimum Technical Standard most companies will still carry out a full factory approval visit before product is launched. RDA Ltd are able to prepare the factory and team ahead of any visit so that approval is secured at minimal cost.
RDA Ltd. is currently retained by several large international auditing companies to carry out system audits and factory approvals against a range of quality standards.
